In my work as an organizational change agent, I help organizations move towards a more adaptable and human way of working. In many cases, it is the top-down style of management that gets in the way. The traditional hierarchical pyramid is no longer fit for purpose. However, if you want to get something done at scale, you still need multiple teams that get the job done together. In my latest article and video, I've explored the fast and adaptable Team of Teams organization of race marshals and address the question: "Is hierarchy always bad?"And as a bonus, I shot another short video "using your best judgement for better decisions". It is about what I learned from the safety briefing I attended before being able to go trackside. Enjoy and keep washing those hands! 👏
